Colleges I selected using College Scorecard could not be added to my FAFSA

College Scorecard provides information on some colleges that are not available for selection in FAFSA on the Web.

Colleges you selected on the College Scorecard Web site may not have been added to your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) for any of the following reasons:

  • A college selected may be a branch campus that does not process financial aid. Many colleges have a main campus location and branch (or satellite) campuses. Typically the main campus processes your FAFSA for financial aid purposes.
  • The Federal School Code is inactive. This occurs when colleges close. In some cases, FAFSA on the Web will replace the inactive code with an active code.
  • An error occurred when the information was transferred from College Scorecard to FAFSA on the Web.

You can select ADD A SCHOOL from the "School Selection Summary" page to search for additional school codes in FAFSA on the Web.
