Student’s IRS-Allowable Adjustments to Income

Enter the whole dollar amounts that are requested for each item. If you don’t have an exact figure, estimate the amount to the best of your ability.

If you’re married, and you and your spouse filed separate tax returns, enter the amount of your combined wages, salaries, and tips.

Remember: Round to the nearest dollar and don’t include commas or decimal points.

This amount will be subtracted to equal your (and if married, your spouse’s) estimated income for the year 2018.

If you have questions about amounts or whether a particular item needs to be included, consult either a United States IRS tax form or a tax preparation specialist.

You must file a correction to your application if the estimated amount is different from the actual amount you completed on your income tax return.
